win proxy rejection and acceptance

I installed a win proxy for my cyber cafe recently. After putting in the key, it said the key would not allow full time work, but later after uninstalling and reinstallation it started working. Please what could have caused the first problem? Am afraid it could just stop working one day when I get to office.
