Win XP home (Wifi) and Mac OS 9 Ethernet

I have a Mac G4 running OS 9 that has a wired ethernet connection to a MR814 v2 wireless router and a PC laptop running Window XP Home with a wireless connection to the same router. I cannot get the 2 computers to see each other. Is the only way forthe 2 to see each is to have an actual physical connection with a cable to the router from the laptop.

I have been working on this for days..and am about to lose my mind. Dave from thursby doesn’t even work. What have I missed.

Also I can ping the Mac from the PC so I do not understand why I cannot see it. Help!!!
