Win2000 workstations & NT 4.0 Server

We’re running nt servers for our network. Also have been implementing win2k workstations(laptops mainly). We are noticing a problem with the printer server and permissions to win2k workstations. We can add the printer on a win2k machine but the permissions do not come over. Basically, the user has no permission to change settings on the printer, everthing is greyed out. We have installed nt printer drivers and 2k printer drivers with the same results. Only way we can change this from happening is if we give the user full control of printers. Admin does not want to do this. Any suggestions?
