Win2000prof

I have installed W2K-pro on my PC supporting SiS M/B and celeron CPU.I am unable to install my USB scanner(Umax Astra) as the OS says that the driver is not digitally signed by Microsoft. Fuirther,i am getting a “Notify_shellIcon error” everytime i boot. What does that mean ? Thanks in advance.
