win2k dynamic changes in routing table

I was installing a 2k server as an internet router, ipx router and multicast router. After 10 miniutes the default gateway changes to one of the other nics in the server. Tried adding persisent route with no luck. How do I stop the server from changing the default gateway. Also How do I force a new gateway.
