WIN2K existing with NT

Can I setup a WIN2K server with AD as a new Domain for testing purposes and install it on the same network as my existing NT Domain. I would like to install Exchange 2000 on it as well and begin testing as if it were a live production server with internet access. Will palcing the server on the same IP subnet as my existing NT Domain cause any problems. What about any DNS issues.
