WIN2k New Features

I heard that win2k is able to have 2 screens run 2 different apps at the same instance. If this is possible then does anyone know how to configure it?

I have a toshiba Sat Pro and a 17 inch Nec; I want both screens on and running different apps (windows) at the same time.
