Hi, I installed 1 W2K Server as my domain controler and 1 W2K Professional as a user workstation for testing purposes. Both are in the same domain. Then I changed the Default Domain Policy, that is applied for the entire domain… I noticed that it just have effect in users that log in the DC and have no effect when I log in the W2K Prof…
I tried to play with ACLs, created an OU to hold the user and then apply a new policy… and several other thinks but nothing works!!
Is there anybody how can help me!?
I changed the policy just for hide the “find” optino in the Start menu… just for testing…
I tried to use the tools provided to check if the policy is being updated in the workstation and it is not… it never updates… secedit tells it is updating but it never does…
Anybody had a problem like this!? Any clues?! This is supposed to be an easy task!
