Win2K prints after balster patch

I have a couple of clients that have installed the patch from MS (MS03-026). After installing this patch, when they print it takes much longer for the job to be processed and reach the printer. All the printers are local to the machine. So far I have found nothing on the MS support sites about this. But I think I see a problem brewing.
