I have just tried installing win2000 onto a new hard drive in a pc. Unfortunatly the installation fails after loading up all the drivers, the PC just switches itself off!
I have tried installing onto a disk with win98 and onto one without, it makes no difference, the PC just powers down.
I have never experienced anything like this, as this is my first win2k installation.
Obviously there may be a compatability issue here, but I have no idea where to look.
The PC, has a 40Gb HD, A CDwriter & CD-ROM, 320Mb Ram, 450MHz PIII with a soundblaster PCI card, PCI HFC Modem, a IEEE1394 PCI card and a SIS6326 AGP video controller. Bios is AWARD from 1998
