Hi Everyone,
I just purchased the folloving system to run Japanese Windows 95
It’s specs are as follows:
IBM
PC300GL Desktop Computer
Model Number 6282-66U
Intel Pentium 200MMX
64MB RAM
2.5 GB Hard Disk
CDROM
3.5″ Floppy
No OS
The problem I have is the OS installation crashes half way through, always at the same point with an ‘unable to extract cab files due to incorrect driver error’ message. After repartioning and reformating the hard drive, I have used 6 different boot disks to attempt the install and four have failed at the same point while two were not even able to get to the GUI portion of the install (interestingly enough, these two failed with the same error message immediately following the scandisk routine). So I put it to you, what am I, three techs, and a systems analyst at work missing.
