win95/msmail/schedule1.0 novell network

Does anyone know why when going into microsoft mail and being in there for a few hours why the .pst file would lock and say in use by another person? I have deleted the profile and created a new one. the .pab is small but the .pst is 55 mb … is that too big ? It really doesn’t seem that large to me. Thank you if you can help.
