Win98 Cache

Currently, I am running Win98 SE. Windows by default uses the C: drive for it’s cache. I would like to tell windows to use a different drive that has 4 gig available. How do I get windows to set it’s cache to a different drive? Are there hazards indoing so. Can I recover if Win does not boot after the switch?
