win98 desktop fonts looked so “ugly”….

Hi there,
Please give your advice on how to troubleshoot this…
Type : digitek notebook (3 years old)
Font : looks “cursive” & “ugly”

OS : win98
Info : this problem happened finished my os reinstallation.
