Win98 lwtest prob

Running win98, 164meg ram, 333mhz amd k6, problem is when windows boots about 50% of the time “lwtest” will be not responding sometimes explorer as well. You get a horrendous clanging sound from the speakers.
Recently upgraded the power supply, ramis new and tests ok. Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks…
