win98se ICS problem

by celsius451 . Updated 25 years ago

I use a computer running windows 98se as a gateway to my home network. My problem is this: it is impossible for me to use any other computer as a gateway, that computer must run win98se, and I would like to use one of the other computers as a web server. ICS has assigned the “fake” subnet of 192.0.0.* for my network, and this ip is where the server thinks itself is. Obviously, this leaves it unaccessible to anything outside my network. Can anyone suggest a way to let them all work under the ip of the gateway comp, or is there another way? If it helps, the web server itself is running win2k advanced server. thanks.
