Windos 98 PCI Sound Card

I Am running win 98. i had to reformat my computer because of a virus. and when i got windows to restart i had no sound card,the system kept telling me thes— #1 your sound card is not instaled! #2 your multia media, will now serch for a better driver, but it never finds drivers for multia media nor sound card PCI!. ?? HELP!!!!! : )
