Windows 2000 and USB

I have a user that has a Windows 2000 Professional machine with a Jornada attached, I just installed it 2 days ago, it was working perfectly. Today I came in and there was a note on my desk from the user saying that his Jornada wasn’t syncronizing. I updated the driver and got the following error message after it searched for the new driver: “An Error occurred during the installation of the device. the installation failed because a function driver was not specified for this device instance.”
