Windows 2000 AutoHide Function

Auto Hide in windows 2000 does not responde properly! Any ideas in maybe a registry fix or even an option that will make it work. It doesn’t responde properly or respondes slow. Machine is 1 ghz with 128 mb ram. No major software installed on it. Please let me know…
