Windows 2000 Backup/Restore logs

We are using NTBackup on one of our W2K servers. Origionally the backup used the admin account and all old logs are listed only when logged in as that user. This can be worked around but I can’t seem to get logs back if they are deleted. In a full rebuild I have re-cataloged tapes and restored just fine but here I can’t seem to get them to reappear in the restore list. They do appear in removable storage but nothing there helps.
