Greetings. I just purchased a new PC without an operating system. I installed 2000 on it myself which had no issues on my old PC (Dell Pentium II 400Mhz). My new PC is an AMD Athalon 1.33Ghz, 256M ram and an Nvidia Riva TNT2 64. While using any application (this has happened on Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, The Sims, UnReal and Netscape), the application closes without any warning or error of any kind. Poof! It’s gone. If I was typing an E-mail or playing a game, everything is lost. No error messages, just back to the desktop. The applications restart without any problem but can close at any time. I’m holding my breath just typing this hoping to click submit before IE closes on me! Does anyone have any idea WHY and WHAT might be causing this. I have never used an AMD system before. At least an error message would be something! Thanks!
