Windows 2000 DNS

I have win2k advanced server, and I use IIS5 on it , I have defined a dns on my server and related it to a valid IP addrerss on my netwok adaptor.
but i cant access my website through its name which I have assigned it to my web site.
i would be very pleased if you tell me which part of my work is in error, and which configuration is needed ?
