Windows 2000 error Stop: c000026c {unable to load device driver}

Hi,

I installed Avast antivirus onto our old computer which runs windows 2000. Upon doing a boot time scan, some trojans were found and were ‘moved to chest’. Since doing this the computer will no longer boot, not even in safe mode. A blue screen appears reading:

stop: c000026c {unable to load device driver} \systemroot\system32\drivers\TDSSrfdc.sys device driver could not be loaded. error status was 0xc0000018

I’m aware that this is all due to moving infected files which shouldn’t have been moved. Unfortunately we no longer have the windows 2000 CDs. Is there anything we can do to salvage this?
