Windows 2000 IExplore.exe

Win2000 professional with IE 5.5 SP1, that for no reason will start running very slow, regardless of the App I’m using.

After bringing up the TASK manager I see that IEXPLORE.EXE is loaded and taking 95% or more of the processor, even thought I didn’t load it and it DOES NOT SHOW on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. It only shows in the Task Manager.

If I delete it everything returns to normal, until it loads itself again. Yes I have every patch available from microsoft and havetryed reinstalling office etc etc.
