Windows 2000 pro Paging file error

I know I asked this question before, but it has arrisen again. Running windows 2000 pro with two existing HDDs and two CD’s, I disconnected the two cd’s and installed a third hdd everything was running fine this way only a little slow. I robbt thePC and
when I login I get the error that my page file is not big enough or does not exist. Then it kicks me back out to the login screen. I have tried to login in safe mode and still just get the login screen. the drive in 20 Gb with maybe 3Gb taken up so there is enough room. I appreacite any help anyone can offer.
