Windows 2000 Pro registry problems

Hi,

I have just received my first Windows 2000 Pro computer which I want to use as a client with Windows NT, this in itself isn’t a problem but my problem is this.

If I log on as the administrator and install, say Office 97 then there is no problem at all, if I log on as any other user there is a problem.

Windows won’t let me update the registry so Office won’t install, does anyone have any ideas on how I can rectify this please.

This is the same with any otherprogram that needs theregistry to store program settings?
