Windows 2000 problem

Last friday, I encountered a PC that ran fine. Yesterday, the monitor shows a blank screen. Changed the graphics card, new power supply, hard drive works. Dont even hear the POST beeps during startup if the BIOS starts. What can be the problem? I sort of believe that since its is an older computer it can possibly be a motherboard problem
