windows 2000 professional

i have a question on windows2000 professional which i have encounter , when i logon to windows NT4.0 Server which the password has set a grace period of 60 days, prior to expire the NT will notify users which windows 95 and 98 can receive. But windows 2000 professional could not receive the notification. could it be the diference on kerberos and ntlm issue?
