Windows 2000 screensaver

We have an issue here at work that is baffling. We have installed Windows 2000 on several workstations. On four of these workstations when the screensaver is set to automatically come on in a password protected mode, when the user goes to login and start working again the PC logs them off. Has anyone seen this before?
