Windows 2000 Server

I have installed Windows 2000 Server on a Compaq model 7470 which has a 533mhz K-6 chip/256mb RAM and all hardware is OEM, except for RAM and new Maxtor IDE 20GB HDD. It will usually hang on boot 2-3 times. I have installed Compaq’s Windows 2000 BIOS update and updated all drivers. There are no errors in the event log and I have yet to install any other software on this server. I have also searched Microsoft’s internal KB and have found nothing. Has anyone got any ideas?
