I bought Tech Republic Active Directory and I am reading it but it refers to moor than one server I am not that big that I need more than one server at this time.
I have only one Windows 2000 Server and 5 Windows 2000 Machines and 1 Windows 98 Machine all are connected to a Linksys EatherFast Cable / DSL Router with a built-in 8-Port 10/100 Switch.
My IP address come from my cable provider for internet access automatically except for one static IP address that I pay for to host my website witch I wont to put on the Windows 2000 server
Can I run in native mode?
I am running my network as a workgroup now but want to go to native mode, last time I tried to do that my computers couldn?t see each other because the IP address given to each machine are not always in the same subnet mask.
That was before I bout the router I hope it will solve the problem.
Can you help?
