Windows 2000 shuts system down

We have several Dell GX110 workstations running Windows 2000, while customer is using the workstation (Typing, running queries, browsing, etc.) the screen will go black and then a message will appear that system is shutting down and then it turns off. What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it? I had suspected hardware or resource conflicts but none have been found.
