Windows 2000 takes long time to log out.

I have been updating PC’s in our network to Win 2k SP3 and applying other critical updates. It seems that after these updates it takes a LONG time for me to log off or shut down the PC. The log out window displays something along the lines of “Saving system Settings”. This only seems to happen with my user profile. If I log in with a different username, it takes very little time to save these same settings.
Any ideas?
