I work for a school district, we are faced with the following problem in rolling out windows 2000 desktops with NT 4 servers.
Problems:
1)Multiple users use the same computer.
2)The same user may or may not return to a particular computer.
3)Every user must have access to all of the software loaded on a PC.
4)Different labs have different software loaded, users will use multiple labs for different classes.
5)Different teachers will be installing new / different software in the classrooms / labs and different students must have access to the newly installed software.
6) Some campuses will have all windows 2000 desktops, some will have a mix of win 2000, win 95 and win 98.
7)The people loading the software may or may not have computer knowledge.
8)The software may of may not be profile smart.
