Windows 2000 user profiles disappears !!

Have anyone seen this: A mixed mode domain (NT + W2K) with W2K advanced server PDC. When removing administrator rights for a user, the local profile of the user disappears on next logon, without a trace! This only happens with other W2K users and not with the NT4 users.
