Windows 2K/XP on a removable disk

When I install Windows 2000 on a removable disk, the OS detect It like “removable”
Is there some “utilitie/registry edit” that can made the disk appears like non removable?
Old versions of Iomega tools/drivers can made It (but in Windows 9X)
