windows 95 problems

hello. i have a machine (ancient!) running a pentium 166 with 16mb memory. i upgraded to 80 mb memory and now i am having the worst problems with netscape. i havnt noticed it with any other program, but after netscape starts and im connected to the net, the computer grinds to a petrified molasses state. doesnt want to go anywhere and takes forever when it finally does move. i ran sysmon and it says that the free memory is fine, but that the processer usage is at a constant 100% (even when idle.) scandisk found 3 cross linked files and once repaired freed up some speed, but it is still way slow. any ideas?
