Windows 98 does not start

I have a Fujitsu Laptop P.C Model No. FM V-575 NU/W
and Windows 98 installed on it.
When I start my P.C after sucessful boting process Window 98 screen appear and hangon before it reached to desktop.

when i try to run windows in safe mode
I have a message i.e

While initializing device UKD:
Windows protect.

I am able to run my laptop in Safe mode command prompt only.

and can access hard disk
check all of my directories.

help me in this regard how to solve this problem
