windows 98 hangs when booting up

My system hangs on the logo screen whenever I boot my system up. I can boot in safe mode then reboot in normal mode and it will start (90%) of the time. I have updated my 3dfx voodoo3 drivers and still nothing. Could I have a currupted logo file? Also, any cd that I put in my cdrom it shows up as an audio cd. This only start happening when I loaded on the adaptec easy cd creator software (I have a CDWR also). I have since uninstalled the software and reinstalled the cdrom driver….yet nothing!

Any help on any of these situations would be appreciated.
