Windows 98 & IP forwarding

by jfelty . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I have a Windows 98 workstation (realizing I should use NT or 2000 for this application) with two NIC’s installed. One, which is a 3COM adapter, plugged into a WebRamp hub, and the other which is an Enterasys wireless adapter. I also have a laptopwith a wireless adapter installed running ME, which is able to talk with the Windows 98 machine, through the wireless network without any problems. The problem is I can’t seem to get the laptop to utilize DHCP services running on the WebRamp device, which is connected to the other NIC. I believe I need to enable IP forwarding on the 98 workstation, which will pass traffic through to the other network. Anyone have any suggestions or experience doing this?

Thanks
