OS is Windows 98, 2 computers networked thru Windows networking.
Printer is shared HP Deskjet 842C.
In one application, all of a sudden, requesting a report creates a GPF in Spool32.
Windows 98, HP deskjet drivers, application have all been re-installed.
All other report request within the application or anywhere else on the system print properly.
Once spool32 is gone, so is all print spooling, and computer must be restarted.
Why would one part of one application suddenly stop printing. The GPF links spool32 and a module within the HP Deskjet group.
Since control is within spool32 at the time of the GPF, the application vendor points the finger at Windows.
Any idea where the problem may lie?
