Hi, I recently upgraded a Windows 95 machine to Windows 98. Everything went well except that the modem is not working. I think the modem is called Win4Sound, but I’m not %100 sure.
On boot up I get a message about how an application needs a file that the system can’t find. The file name is ‘turbovhf.vxd’.
It says to press any key to continue. After doing so I get a similar message about file name ‘turboVCD.vxd’.
After that the machine boots up ok. Except that the modem isn’t working.
I’ll replace the modem if it’s a tough nut, but I was hoping someone had seen this before and knew how I might get in there and make it work.
