Windows 98 & Windows XP

I have a friend with a small business and a small peer network of 3 nodes. 2 are Win98 & 1 in XP. The XP node is a Compaq & 1 of the win98 is a HP Pavillion, the other is a clone. The XP node will see the clone win98 node but not the HP. The HP willnot see the Compaq with XP. I did load the network client that XP tells you to create on the other 2 nodes.
Any ideas?
