Windows 98 with DOS

HI, I hope you can help me.
I have some Windows 98 machines that run an accounting system in a DOS window & I don’t know what to configure in the memory usage, this system doesn’t display some results that are displayed very good in a Windows 95machine & the only configuration to run this program is to create a desktop icon, no more. What can I do?
