Windows 9x Screensaver Password

In Win 9x only, is there anyway to delete or crack a password when a user forgets? May be a screensaver supplied by Windows or one a user added. Where is password saved-in registery, ini file, withine screensaver? Use of profiles does not apply here. What is name of a program that can crack password?
