windows desktop wallpaper

i’ve installed a network seat of autocad on my machine and now when i boot up i get a dialogue box stating “windows is setting up the following” (doesn’t tell or show me what). then i get the ugly compaq logo for desktop wallpaper. i can change it, but when i reboot it reverts back to the compaq logo again! any ideas?
