windows explorer search corrupt

by jimklallsoo . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

Hi i foolishly opened windows explorer and changed the following option.

Tools/folder options/ file types.

I changed the top three options
by clicking set aas default on

Drive
File Folder
Folder

The top two now have have the word find in black bold text when it wasn’t before and the third option FOLDER i changed to open from explore or vice versa can’t quite remmeber which.

Anynow when i click on Windows explorer i see the C: drive but when i click on the C: drive where i used to be able to see all the files contained within the C: drive which came up in the centre panel i now get a blank window which says search.

How do i change this option back so that it will automatically open with my folder/files visible in the central/right hand pane.

Please note i can still access the contents of my C: dive by right clicking and selecting explorer.

any assistance greatly appreciated
