Windows ME hang upon boot up

Hi,

My PC (Win ME) hang upon boot up immedaitely to a blank screen with the cursor blinking at the left top corner.

It did not even get past the BIOS checks. I have verified that the hard disk have no problem. Anyone kind to help me out with some insights.
