Windows Me-Lockups

Dear Sir:
I purchased a new Windows Me conputer a few
months ago. My Question is Why does is lock
up so often.It has 128 Ram and 20g hard drive. Could you relate to me some possible
suggestions to make it stop this ,without removeing it form this place altogether.
