Windows Media Play and CTL+ALT+DEL

Has anyone noticed that WinMe has a stability problem when Media Player is running and ctl+alt+del is activated. The system repeats the last note until task manager is shut down. Why?
This is apparent even when the onboard sound is used. I use quality products, so it definetly is not the hardware. Used different memory range from 128 to 768. When too many applications are open and ctl+alt+del is activated the system can crash. This symptom is repeated on my other ME computer. Microsoft does not know or wants to know about it. This is just a nagging problem that I would not mind to solve, just for the satisfaction of knowing. I have ruled out hardware and system settings. Any ideas!!!!
